Priority fee calculator
Solana fees are a flat 5,000 lamports per signature plus an optional priority fee of compute units × price. Plug in your numbers and see what you pay.

How Solana transaction fees are computed
total_fee = 5,000 × signatures + ceil(cu_limit × cu_price_micro_lamports / 1,000,000)The base fee depends only on signature count. The priority fee is what you bid for block space, and it is charged on the limit you request, not on the units you actually consume. Requesting 1.4M compute units when your transaction uses 50k makes you pay 28× more priority fee than needed and makes schedulers less likely to include you.
Setting the values
ComputeBudgetProgram.setComputeUnitLimit({ units }): default is 200,000 per instruction, max 1,400,000 per transaction. Simulate first and add a 10–20% margin.ComputeBudgetProgram.setComputeUnitPrice({ microLamports }): 1 micro-lamport = 10-6 lamports. Related errors
- ComputationalBudgetExceeded: raise the limit.
- insufficient funds for fee: the payer cannot cover base + priority fee.
- block height exceeded: your bid was too low during congestion.
