Token-2022 extension checker
See every extension and authority on a mint, explained in plain language and flagged by how much power it gives the issuer over your tokens.
Why Token-2022 extensions matter
The Token Extensions program (Token-2022) lets issuers attach behaviour to a mint that the original SPL Token program never allowed. Some extensions are harmless conveniences (on-chain metadata), some change the economics (transfer fees, interest), and some give the issuer direct control over your balance.
The ones to look at first
- Permanent delegate: an address that can transfer or burn tokens out of any wallet without permission. Legitimate for some compliance use cases, catastrophic in a meme token.
- Transfer fee: a percentage of every transfer is withheld for the issuer. Check the basis points and the maximum fee.
- Transfer hook: an arbitrary program runs on every transfer and can block it. This is how allowlists and “cannot sell” tokens are built.
- Default account state = frozen: new holders cannot move tokens until the issuer thaws them.
- Freeze and mint authority: not extensions, but equally important. A live freeze authority can lock your account; a live mint authority can inflate supply.
What the tool does not do
It reads on-chain state only. It cannot tell you whether a transfer hook program is benign, whether liquidity is locked, or who holds the supply. Treat a clean result as “no structural red flags”, not as an endorsement.
