“An account does not have enough lamports to be rent-exempt”
After the instruction, an account's balance is below the rent-exempt minimum. Since rent collection was removed, all accounts must be rent exempt.
Common causes
- Creating an account with too few lamports.
- Transferring SOL out of an account so its balance dips below the minimum for its size (wallets with 0 data need 890,880 lamports).
How to fix it
- Deposit
getMinimumBalanceForRentExemption(size)when creating accounts. - Leave the rent-exempt minimum in the account, or close it entirely.
